ST AIDAN’S COLLEGE CELEBRATE SECOND SUCCESS
The team at St Aidan’s College, part of Durham University, are
celebrating after retaining the award for ‘Best University
Accommodation for Groups’ at the annual Group Travel Awards. The event
took place on 22 June 2007 at the Radisson SAS Hotel in London. The
Awards presentation was hosted by BBC TV Breakfast weather presenter
Carol Kirkwood.

VENUEMASTERS were again sponsoring the award which was introduced in
2003 to reflect the rise in popularity of university accommodation as
an option for groups. The awards are decided by the readers of Group
Travel Organiser magazine.
Six venues were nominated for the ‘Best University Accommodation for
Groups’ award, including five VENUEMASTERS member venues. The
University of Portsmouth, previous winners in 2004 & 2005, were
runners up for the second year running.
St Aidan’s is a modern College set in tranquil landscaped gardens and
